Together with the help of clients and vendors, our Firm and its employees have contributed more than $12 million in donations toward the relief efforts in response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the December 2004 Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, which struck New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast on August 29th, 2005. To date, the Jefferies energy investment banking group, Randall & Dewey, has helped raise more than $2.6 million for cancer research. Our educational grant program, now in its 25th year, supports the education of the children of Jefferies employees, and has granted nearly 650 scholarship awards. In addition, the Firm has an established employee contribution matching program, which benefits a wide range of important causes.
