Jefferies Fixed Income division makes markets in approximately 2,000 individual securities representing more than 400 issuers. These issuers span virtually all industries and include industrials, telecommunications, utilities, and banking and finance. Our skilled traders manage aggregate positions in excess of $1 Billion. U.S. Government Agency Securities
Jefferies Fixed Income division makes markets in selected debt securities of all Government Sponsored Enterprises. In addition, we act as an underwriter of new issues for the Federal Home Loan Bank, Freddie Mac and Farmer Mac. Three professionals lead the trading desk with over 40 years of combined trading experience. We maintain an inventory and actively trade callable, non-callable, floating rate, structured notes and discount notes. Mike Effron (212.284.2299) leads the Trading Desk.
U.S. Treasury Securities
In the Treasury market, Jefferies Fixed Income Division provides value-added trade ideas, yield curve analysis and market direction supported by technical research. We make markets in all Treasury notes and bonds as well as in bills, strips, and TIPS. The desk is staffed by two trading, two research and seven sales professionals. Mortgage-Backed Securities
Jefferies Fixed Income division makes markets in most mortgage backed products. We are very active in mortgage pass-throughs, CMO's and ARMS. We deal with Tier 1 through Tier 4 accounts. Municipal Bonds
Jefferies Fixed Income division trades and maintains inventory in municipal bonds. Scott Chroman (212.284.2109) leads the desk.
Emerging Markets
The Emerging Markets Group is responsible for sovereign and corporate fixed income markets in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia. Investor flows cover vast geographic regions that include the Americas, Europe and Asia. The firm's debt capabilities include secondary markets in both international and domestic issues.
